Artist Giannina Castillo, influenced by cultures around the world, from North and South America, to West Africa, Middle East and Europe, brings passionately this combination to life through her fine paintings on porcelain.
Giannina was born and raised in Lima, Peru, she then lived and graduated in the US, and then moved to Nigeria, where she stayed and worked for many years
Giannina’s artistic career started in Africa, where her natural talent was nurtured and inspired by the mystical and colorful beauty of the African nature and the fascinating multi-faceted cultures of its people.
She then moved to Lebanon, mixing with its cosmopolitan society and developing her passion and shaping her talent and painting skills at master Aline Koyess atelier, and at her own private workshop.
Giannina completed seminars with famous professors and mentors, who praise her natural artistic talents and her acquired techniques. Among the artists we can list Filipe Pereira, Rigoberto Barcos, Mariella Villasmil, Edouardo Reis, Nelia Ferreira.
